Dulce Cafe, an international cafe chain with roots in South Africa, is all set to enter the Indian restaurant and cafe market following a master franchise agreement with ITPL Hospitality Ventures in India. Dulce is looking to bring a new twist to the cafe and coffee shop market by bridging the gap between a full restaurant and a simple coffee shop. Styled on the lines of traditional European coffee houses, the Dulce Cafe concept provides a full service, casual dining experience in a refreshing, modern setting.

On the menu at Dulce is a variety of locally sourced and freshly prepared gourmet food, choice of liquor, fresh coffee in various avatars, and desserts.  “The chain seeks to differentiate itself from the market by offering only fresh food and beverages of the highest quality, along with a new approach to customer service.”, says Akhil Backliwal, Managing Director of ITPL, “The combination of a full restaurant, coffee shop and also a bar is a completely unique offering in the Indian context”.

ITPL Hospitality Ventures intends to open over 40 Dulce outlets across all major Indian cities over the next few years, with a mix of company developed and sub-franchised outlets. Different formats would include a full service cafe/restaurant, an on-the-go cafe, and a kiosk/drive-through format.

Dulce has over 60 functioning outlets across the globe. The company intends to develop a new menu to cater to local tastes and sensibilities with a wide range of vegetarian options. Currently, Dulce is seeking franchisees all over India for its flagship cafe/restaurant, cafe/kiosk formats.

Apart from this, there are many food and beverage brands who offer franchise opportunities in India.
