In Conversation with Mr. Raj Kamal,Brand Manager of Flavours24 share the growth of his Brand in India. expanding the footprint in tier II and III towns, as well as overseas forays on the back of their new marketing strategy.

Q1. Enlighten us about the birth of Flavours24.

Flavours24 is a chain of frozen Yogurt and Ice cream parlours, with a significant position in the health and wellness sector, offering customers quality health and taste through its products.It has an exclusive tie up with Wadden Systems, Canada and a pioneer in flavouring system, who have more than 5500 outlets all over America.

With Watson Diary, UK as consultant, Flavours24 has been constantly developing its products according to international standards, keeping the Indian palate in consideration.

Q2 When was it established and when did you decided to go for franchising?

We Started operation in August 2012 by opening a company outlet in Panjim, Goa.When we started our First store in Panjim, Goa we got lots of inquiry for franchise and we also understood that for growth we need good associates. But we always believe in ethical franchise without over-leveraging our business financially or administratively, and without diluting brand identity and business values. Same time we realized that because of our unique concept ROI for this brand is quick. A franchise model should be a win-win situation for both franchisor and a franchisee and will help us to expand into a new market.

Q3.How many outlets do you have at the moment?

We opened first store with unique concept of 24 different flavours of yogurt with one machine.In 2013 after successful running company outlets we started franchise model, with in 2 years 23 franchises owned store opened and 5 owned by company, a total of 28 stores till date.

Q4. What is the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of the brand?  How is your brand different from your competitors?

We are the first brand to introduce non-fat frozen yogurt in 24 different flavors. With our unique patented blending system we can serve 24 different flavors of yogurt with single machine. We also serve sugar free frozen yogurt. Recently we introduced super premium ice cream without any artificial flavours.  Unlike others we don’t make frozen yogurt from imported premixes we make our frozen yogurt from locally available fresh ingredients. We believe best ingredients can make best products.

Q6. Where do you see your brand in the next 5 years?

Looking at wellness product market growing rapidly worldwide we are sure about great future for flavours24 in coming years. We are developing some unique product under this brand which will be added to benefit our franchisees. We are also planning for multiple income sources for our franchises like retail products, Institutional sales and Events participating. We are planning around 20 new company owned outlets in next 3 year and 50 franchises.
