Titan open 100 more store in tier I and tier II cities.

titan(3)Titan the leading watchmaker is planning to add 100 more outlets across with its retail format of Titan, Fastrack and Helios to increase its presence in Tier 2 cities. HG Raghunath, chief executive officer, watches and accessories at Titan said. Currently Titan has about 650 Stores. Now the company has focused to increase its retail expansion in tier II & III cities.

Recent Nielsen report, he said, there are 400 booming small towns in the country and “We will focus on 200 of these where we put our expansion strategy”

“Our expansion will be mostly in towns where there is not much consumer experience available of our brand. We are seeing the desire of the middle India consumer in every store that we have opened in these towns so far,” he added.

Besides its own brands, Titan markets other international brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Emporio Armani, DKNY and Fossil among others through licensing agreements in the Helios multi-brand watch retail outlets.

Titan Watches focus on the premium segment over the long-ago, he pointed out that although subdued sales for watches and accessories over the past year, “the premium segment is growing at over 20%”. This fiscal year Titan in premium segment come up with four new launches.
