Now the brand is looking for Regional Master Franchise in India.  In an interview with Mr.  Pulin Shroff,  Chairman, Jan Pro India shares the growth and future plans of the company.

Tell us about the concept of Jan Pro?

Jan Pro is one of the world’s largest commercial cleaning company and based out of Atlanta, USA. Jan Pro aims to provide premium quality cleaning services ie janitors, equipment and chemicals to commercial office spaces above 15000 sq ft in size. The two models in place are the city master and unit master. The city master takes care of sales and marketing and meets and negotiates with clients to acquire the cleaning contracts. The unit master arranges for manpower to service the contract. The client bills directly to the city master who after retaining his royalties passes the remaining amount to the unit master. City masters are people with investment capacity and the ability to manage a business. Unit masters are generally existing housekeeping companies who tie up with Jan Pro to increase their existing business exponentially.

What is the USP of the brand? What kind of business opportunity does the concept offer for the franchisees in India?

Jan Pro in India offers confirmed starting business contracts to all city masters. The value of these contracts can vary from INR 1 Cr to INR 6 Cr in a year depending on the city. Currently this is the only franchise option in India which offers starting business to its city masters.

What is the requirement in terms of capital/infrastructure to partner with you as franchisee?

  • Capital requirement
  1. Franchise fee – This varies from INR 50 lacs to INR 1.2 Cr based on the city
  2. Working capital requirement – INR 10-50 lacs based on the size of the starting business we offer to you
  • Infrastructure
  1. Office space – 200-400 Sq feet. Location is not important

How many locations do you have currently and what are your expansion plans in the coming years?

We are currently located in Mumbai and plan to cover all Tier I cities by the end of 2014.

What are the qualifications for a franchisee to partner with your brand?

  1. Investment capacity based on city of choice
  2. Entrepreneurial drive and leadership to manage a business
  3. Contacts in existing IT, ITES, consulting companies is a plus
  4. No prior knowledge of the cleaning industry is required

What kind of marketing and support do you provide to your franchisees?

  1. We provide starting business contracts as mentioned above
  2. We provide upto 5 leads every month for a period of one year
  3. Complete  sales and operations training is also provided to the respective employees of the franchise
