Start by telling us why have you picked this sector, and how has your journey been so far?
I was always a foodie and I am always on look out for different delicious dishes. Food & Beverage industry is one of the evergreen industry and the scope of growth is immense .Being in this industry for a decade, my overall experience has been great. We are one of the first to introduce Shwarma in Delhi. We started with our brand Roti Aur Boti in 2008 and this was because once traveling to Doha (Qatar) I witness Shawarma and Doner kebab and saw the gap in market in India and since then after launching it in India(Delhi) we have witnessed huge response from people. We have expanded to 11 outlets and even got recognized in various media channels and journals. The Rolling Plate is actually a spin off from Roti Aur Boti. The Rolling Plate is a Pioneer of an ingenious business model in the Food & Beverage Industry. We love our food and our passion for it has helped us to perfect our craft of making the best food available to our customers. Having Multiple F&B home-made brands under our kitty, we provide a unique combination of food and online business helpful for every segment of people.
Tell us about the USP of your brand and where do you see yourself in next 5 years?
We for the first time in India are introducing a whole new way of selling food. The business model is first of its kind, solid and is well suited for anybody who wants to enter this industry with an investment of as low as 3 Lac rupees. Our expansion plans have been divided into phases. By the next of next year we plan to have at least 15 partners in Delhi -NCR and expand to different states. By the end of 5 years, we see our self as a prominent brand in F&B industry with presence in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.
How long was the business operating before it became a franchise network and how long has the business been franchised?
The Business started with a plan to see how the consumer react to the products and services. Surprisingly it hit well as just about the launch we are having multiple conversions. , due to the beauty of products and franchise plan we are making Franchisee go to the bank smiling.
What are the criteria for choosing a franchise and what are your expectations out of it?
We are looking to associate with people who have a zeal to start their own business, have an entrepreneurial mindset and are optimistic. Our support system to franchises are so strong that they would not face any problem and we all work like a big family always helping to grow each other . The criteria is simple , As a team we all grow and to be a part of a chain without overlooking the opportunity to be the part of one of the best entrepreneurs idea of all time.
What kind of training and support do you offer to the franchise?
We are looking for partners for our brand. We will work very closely with our partners and will provide full support in terms of infrastructure, manpower, marketing etc.
How do you see the future of the industry you are in and what are your future strategies?
India undoubtedly is world’s culinary capital and the soul of the country is intricately connected to the vast array of food options available all throughout it. This is one industry that is evergreen and will remain one of the focal points in the future as well. Just like India, The rolling plate is a true embodiment of unity in diversity – the true democratic franchisee that unites all foods with its variety of shapes, sizes, breads, fillings, consumption time/age/ occasions, yet united by its purity and taste. Our menu is all about the heart – about feelings, about the experience, about the love of our communities and of course, about the deep and passionate love for food which make us a unique business model.
