Pluggers&#8217; products will be made available initially at all Planet Sports stores in metros with expansion plans targeted at second- and third-tier cities in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Planet Sports business head Ajay Chablani said India is a potential market for the Australian footwear brand due to the country&#8217;s growing inclination to sporting casual footwear.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe see this trend of wearing flip flop catching on and I am sure that it would be equally popular in India as it has been on the Gold Coast in Australia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Pluggers co-promoter Kevin Pietersen said that India&#8217;s growing and discerning young market prompted the company to foray in the country.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We felt that India would be the ideal country in terms of beginning our global foray,\u201d said Pietersen. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Australian footwear brand Pluggers is making entry to India by getting into partnership with Planet Sports, marking its first overseas venture.
