{"id":239,"date":"2012-05-05T17:21:45","date_gmt":"2012-05-05T11:51:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.franchisezing.com\/franchise\/?p=239"},"modified":"2012-05-05T17:21:45","modified_gmt":"2012-05-05T11:51:45","slug":"jw-marriott-and-ritz-carlton-to-open-hotels-at-macau-complex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.franchisezing.com\/franchise\/jw-marriott-and-ritz-carlton-to-open-hotels-at-macau-complex\/","title":{"rendered":"JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton to open hotels at Macau complex"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><figure id=\"attachment_543\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-543\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.franchisezing.com\/franchise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Marriott-International-300x225.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"Marriott International\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-543\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-543\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Marriott International<\/figcaption><\/figure>Marriott International has announced plans to open two new hotels &#8211; under the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton brands respectively &#8211; at the Galaxy Macau leisure and resort development in China.<\/p>\n<p>The company has secured long-term management agreements with the Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) for more than 1,300 bedrooms, suites and floating villas at the properties.<\/p>\n<p>Both of the hotels will anchor the second phase of Galaxy Macau, which already boasts three world-class hotels and more than 55 restaurants, cafes and bars in the first phase.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson has revealed that both properties are expected to include spas, with the Ritz-Carlton one to be more spectacular &#8211; however, further details are yet to be confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>The 250-bedroom Ritz-Carlton, Macau will also comprise a rooftop pool with whirlpool and eight private cabanas, as well as an all-private-dining Chinese restaurant and the Ritz Bar.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, nearly 1,100 bedrooms and suites will comprise the JW Marriott Hotel Macau, with facilities to include a signature Chinese restaurant and a tranquil pool.<\/p>\n<p>Marriott International, Asia president and managing director Simon Cooper said: China is our second largest market outside North America and opening two of our premier brands on the same site in such a fast growing market is a major commitment.<\/p>\n<p>GEG chair Dr Che-woo Lui added: To complement Phase One exceptional hotel offering we are extremely pleased to be introducing Marriott International globally recognised luxury hotel brands.<\/p>\n<p>Both properties are scheduled to open in 2015. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton to open hotels at Macau complex<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-239","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-real-estate-news","list-style-post"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.franchisezing.com\/franchise\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/239","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.franchisezing.com\/franchise\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.franchisezing.com\/franchise\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.franchisezing.com\/franchise\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.franchisezing.com\/franchise\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=239"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.franchisezing.com\/franchise\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/239\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.franchisezing.com\/franchise\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=239"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.franchisezing.com\/franchise\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=239"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.franchisezing.com\/franchise\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=239"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
