The opening has leveled up its position in the food market and taken the total count to more than 39,000 restaurants, which are spread across 102 countries. <\/p>\n<p>Speaking on brand\u2019s initiatives, Robby Gulri, Area Development Manager, SUBWAY\u00ae India, says: \u201cThe success of our franchise model in India encourages the brand to open more number of outlets. The SUBWAY\u00ae chain\u2019s plans for India are also in line with its growth plans for Asia as per which it has set a target of opening more than 3,000 stores by 2017. The sandwich chain is currently growing at a rate of 2,000 stores per year and despite the downturn witnessed in the world economy, revenues have continued to rise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SUBWAY\u00ae has already proved itself as world\u2019s largest sandwich franchise brand that works closely with local chefs and regional suppliers to ensure a good balance of vegetarian and non-vegetarian offering specifically selected to appeal to the Indian palate.
