The couple are well equipped in the world of health and fitness with Jan working as an occupational therapist and Shariff working in the Indian sports industry for 16years as a sports journalist and advocate.<\/p>\n

The preschool has franchisees active in the countries like Singapore, the UK, and Indonesia, with having more than 120 locations nationally. <\/p>\n

\u201cReady Steady Go Kids covers all aspects of development that need to be addressed at this early stage of children\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt provides tremendous benefits for all children, including those with special needs. Ready Steady Go Kids helps control obesity, promotes an active lifestyle and also improves self-esteem, social skills and motivation.\u201d Jan added.
\nWith ambitious plans to collectively train and educate at least 4000 children in their first year of operation, the pair is working towards a longer term goal of making Ready Steady GO Kids the flagship sports program for young children in India.<\/p>\n

\u201cChildhood obesity is a huge problem here,\u201d Jan explained. \u201cMany of my occupational therapy clients have encouraged me to develop a program to increase activity levels in children. I believe Ready Steady Go Kids is the answer for children throughout India.\u201d said Jan.<\/p>\n

Aiming to create positive attitudes towards exercise the program help children develop age-appropriate motor skills, learn the concept of sportsmanship and playing by the rules, and cooperating with others.
\nClasses are designed to not only stimulate the physical bodies of children but also their minds with the help of music, equipment and parental involvement.<\/p>\n

\u201cChildren are motivated mainly by enjoyment and social interaction and the interest of trying a new sport, a new challenge,\u201d Jan added. \u201cAnd since it is a goal-oriented and age-appropriate program it enhances physical, intellectual and socio-emotional aspect of the child\u2019s personality.\u201d
\nStuart Derbyshire, director of Ready Steady Go Kids is pleased with the quick progression of the franchise\u2019s growth in the international market.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re the largest multi-sport and exercise program in Australia and have always wanted to eventually fulfil similar roles around the globe,\u201d Mr Derbyshire said. \u201cAdding India to our list of locations is certainly another step in the right direction.\u201d<\/p>\n
