McCafe is one of the verticals of McDonald\u2019s.\u00a0 McDonald\u2019s came up with Store-in-store (SIS) to introduce McCafe in India 18 months ago. McCafe has 18,000 outlets globally. McCafe had launched its first outlet in Bangalore. According to various sources McCafe will be competing with Starbucks stores in India.\u00a0 Starbucks has tied up with TATA to enter into India. Starbucks opened its first store in Mumbai in 2012.\u00a0 There is 50:50 joint venture between Starbucks and Tata Global Beverages.<\/p>\n<p>Sources have also reported that McCafe menu items are priced lower than Starbucks. Within the span of 18 months, McCafe has come up with 41 restaurants in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Nashik and Bangalore.\u00a0 Hardcastle Restaurants has taken the master franchise of McDonald\u2019s in southern and western markets. Now the company will aggressively promote McCafe in India.
