Tikka Town, a Quick Service Restaurant, operated under Old World Hospitality, an entertainment organiser and restaurant chain operator, is preparing to expand business with an initial investment of Rs 25-30 crore.
The plan is to commence 100 new outlets of Tikka Town across India in five years.
The Delhi-based firm opened its fifth outlet in Pune last week. “We will grow three formats, such as express counters, kiosks and full-fledged restaurants,” SandeepTandon quoted. He said express counters spread over 150-250 sq ft area and kiosks about 300 sq ft.
The company owns and runs two Tikka Town outlets in Delhi and the remaining three opened in Pune and Lavasa hill town near Pune are run by franchisees.
“Depending on the location and the cities, an express counter and kiosk will require an investment of over Rs 15–Rs 30 lakh each while a full-fledged over Rs 80 lakh,” Tandon said. He said out of the 100 units planned in metros and tier-II cities and hill stations about 60 per cent will be company owned and the balance will be run by franchises as per the company guidelines to maintain quality, standard and service.
