International lifestyle brand Van Heusen is considering pleasing women customers in india by rolling out ten exclusive clothing outlets and around five accessories outlets, especially for women, by this fiscal year, with an expected investment of Rs 10 crore.
The expansion plan will not be the part of the 50 stores of Van Heusen that are to be opened by the company in this year. The company is allowing major portion of its brand development through franchise model.
Talking about the brand’s growth, “Vinay Bhopatkar, Brand Head, Van Heusen, says: “Despite the sluggish demand in the operating market we will grow due to our expansion plans and product innovations. We are looking at 18-20 per cent growth. Women’s wear is a small but fast growing market. We see it as big growth opportunity. We are focusing more on premium fashion in women’s wear.”
Currently, Van Heusen has 200 exclusive stores and seven women’s wear outlets. The company will open its first accessories only outlet in Cochin next month.
