Carzonrent India Pvt. Ltd., a car rental company which operates in 40 cities of India, has acquired Ridingo, a mobile and cloud based solutions for ride sharing. Ridingo follows very strict rules for safety & comfort for users. For smooth experience, they focus on safety and experience. The company was founded in 2013 by S Mohan and Vardhan Koshal. After this acquisition, Carzonrent will also enter into ridesharing segment. At present there at 8500 users of Ridingo users in Bangalore city.
Carzonrent was founded in the year 2000 by Mr. Rajiv K. Vij., with the objective to offer car rental solutions. They provide customized solutions to all their users. Within 5 years, Carzonrent is planning to expand to 250 cities wits the ridesharing services. Carzonrent has a fleet of 6500 cars in India. Their services include- Airport transfer, Chaffeur Drive, Self Drive, Limousine, Driving holidays, Corporate Travels. They have more than 20,000 trips daily. In October 2014, Carzonrent partnered with Tata Nano with self drive at Rs. 99 per hour for customers in Delhi NCR. Carzonrent is also in words with private equity players to raise $ 75 million and plans to go public in the next 5 years.
