Gerald Ratner to operate online jewellery outlet in Indian web

Gerald Ratner is set to make a push into the Indian jewellery retail market with an Indian version of his online store, selling Asian gold.

Ratner, who is famed for his value approach to jewellery retail and product, announced that he will launch his Gerald Online store in India during a recent visit to Mumbai.

He is not set to retail his affordable 9ct gold and diamond jewellery, however, and will instead align the product with the popular tastes among Indian and Asian jewellery shoppers, with 18ct and 24ct gold designs.

Ratner has tied links with Iksula, an Indian online solutions provider, to develop the technical aspects and marketing of the Indian Gerald Online website.
