The journey of Joy Ride Pre School began in 1991, From then on, Joy Ride School became the trendsetter for preschool education. In an interview, Mohit Bhutani, Director, Joy Ride School shares the success and expansion plans of his company.

What inspired Joy Ride School to take the franchise route?

Before taking the Franchise Route Joy Ride was managing Kindergarten wing for 18 Formal Schools. The quality of education being provided by many kindergarten schools was deteriorating day by day. The gap between requirement of a formal school and education being provided by most of kindergarten schools was increasing day by day. We have been encouraged by the formal school to take a Franchise route and provide quality education to children at Kindergarten level.

What is the USP of Joy Ride? How are you different from the competitors?

Joy Ride has been managing Kindergarten wing for 18 formal schools in India. Our Curriculum is developed keeping the requirement of a formal school and child psychology in mind. Joy Ride has in house publication. With our vast knowledge and experience we have been able to design the right set of books.

Unlike our competitors we plan to open limited number of outlets and ensure that all our Associate Schools run successfully.

All Joy Ride Associate Schools are running full fledge with a 100% success rate so far. We want to ensure that maintain our success rate remains the same.

Since Joy Ride plans to open limited number of associate schools in a city, we would ensure that there is no internal competition between Joy Ride Branches.

For the first 3 schools that open under the Joy Ride banner in NCR region, we would be providing them our in-house auditorium facility free of cost for 2 years.

What qualities do you look in prospective franchisees for your company?

We are willing to share our 21 years experience and brand name with those investors who have the zeal to serve the education sector. We are looking to partner with someone has good interpersonal skills and willingness to share the brand belief.

How many franchisees do you have and in which all cities?

Joy Ride currently has 20 Schools across North India. Joy Ride has 2 branches in the National Capital Region. Joy Ride manages 18 Kindergartens for formal schools in North India.

 

What type of business support and training do you offer to your franchisees?

Joy Ride hand-holds its Associate School right from the first day. We assist our associate school in site selection, building architecture, Marketing, Staff Recruitment and training, day to day curriculum etc. Associate schools would get emails on daily basis updating them on what is to be done. Our QCG would visit our associate schools twice in a year and help in overall development of the school.

What are the challenges that can be faced by a franchisee in this business? How can they overcome these challenges?

As a new entrant in the field of education one would face a number of difficulties. Basic example: The right marketing tools. Over the years we have gained expertise in this domain.

If guided well our associate schools can be at par with us in 3 years.

 

What are the company’s future plans in terms of expansion through franchising?

The company plans to open limited number of outlets throughout the country. Currently we are focused on opening associate schools in Delhi/NCR, Jaipur, Ludhiana and Amritsar. We are looking for Master Franchises across various states.
