International coffeehouse and restaurant chain Tim Hortons has celebrated the opening of its first store in Hyderabad. This new outlet, located in Inorbit Mall, Madhapur, represents the 30th Tim Hortons location in India. According to Davesh Mehra, lead of projects – North at Tim Hortons India, this launch is not only a significant milestone for the company but also introduces the brand to the South Indian market. Mehra announced this development in a recent LinkedIn post, stating, “Tim Hortons India now open at Inorbit Mall Hyderabad. Our first store in Hyderabad and now 30 stores successfully launched in India.”
Local Presence
Inorbit Mall hosts an array of over 20 café and restaurant chains including well-known names like Starbucks, Chili’s, Keventers, California Burrito, and Pizza Express, adding a vibrant coffee culture to the local community. Mehra invites customers to “Visit the stunning looking store to enjoy your favorite French vanilla, iced cappuccino, donuts, and a delectable range of other goodies.”
Tim Hortons in India
Tim Hortons made its initial foray into the Indian market in August 2022, starting with two outlets in the National Capital Region (NCR). The brand’s expansion into India was facilitated through an exclusive master franchise agreement with AG Café, a joint venture between Apparel Group and Gateway Partners, focusing on emerging markets. Today, Tim Hortons operates in several major Indian cities including Bengaluru, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Pune, Gurugram, Noida, Ludhiana, and Mumbai.
