ORGAFIT- Organic Grocery Store leading to Chemical Free India

India today is on the threshold of an organic revolution and we have experienced a steadfast growth in past few years. The country’s Organic food market is transforming into world’s fastest growing organic food market backed by a shift in consumer’s behavior and spending patterns.

ORGAFIT is a company which is one of the fastest growing companies in the field of Organic food and we were lucky to know about the company’s goals and achievements from Mr.Akash Sharma, Director, Orgafit.

  Start by telling us about how did you start this business? What made you enter this sector where you focus equally on organic products? From where did you get the concept?

   We started our journey from Reinheit Fertilizer in 2006. Reinheit Organic Fertilizer is a pioneer in organic foods. After getting success in fertilizers, we decided to step up our business towards organic

foods. Our commitment to all organic things and our organic purity remains enviable. Today we have eight thousand acres land in Bareilly and wide network of farmers. We do give best to our customer’s and we don’t compromise on being who we are. It is the one of the fastest growing companies in the field of organic Food Industry and is working towards producing chemical free food products that can aid to the process of making a chemical free India.

Our Brand name is ORGAFIT and we are distributing franchisees with the brand name ORGAFIT.


   What knowledge and skills are required for the employees working in   retail sector and how do you train them?

   Retail managers have to do it all: work with customers, manage sales associates, hit monthly store quotas and pitch in whenever something needs to get done. That’s why employers in the retail industry often look for a blend of “diverse, transferable skills on a resume that are indicative of a versatile, well-rounded candidate who has a good understanding of the industry and is able to adapt as needed. These are the seven skills you most need to be a success as you rise in the ranks.

  • Customer service
  • Leadership skills
  • Sales experience
  • Retail managers need to be flexible and mentally tough to deal with day-to-day activities
  • Retail managers are organized,should be good planners and strong trouble shooters and should be having good communication skills.

We do have our own in-house training team which organise’s regular training session and workshops for new/ working employees.


  How do you keep yourself up to date regarding the market size, preferences, products etc. and what types of products have you been most successful in selling?

   Market is very conducive for us to use our products and services.  The technology, expertise and experience that Reinheit organic food has, can be used effectively across every population segment. India currently has around 50cr base of middle and upper middle class people and our product is mostly targeted at this segment of people because they have spending power and product awareness about organic food. Moreover we are dealing in organic groceries that are the common need of every household, so there is always a huge market potential.


  How many franchisees do you have at present and when did you enter the franchise network?

  We started our franchisee model in the year 2017 and planning to franchise 50 stores on Delhi NCR by the end of 2018.


  How much do you think franchising your business is important for its expansion?

  Our USP is that we are providing  300 Customers base to our franchisee to run its business smoothly Our brand is based upon utilizing the multiple intelligences to face day to day challenges and balancing of left and right brain. We want to focus more on back-end activities, related to productions and let the franchise partner do the front-end activities related to sales. We will continue to implement the new strategy in near future. ROFL will be a global company and more focused on customer orientation. Research, development and sustainable business will be the factors that will determine our success, opening new opportunities for growth and greater profitability. I am convinced that sustainable business, diversity and a strong innovative capacity will represent key factors that will attract tomorrow’s best partners to ROFL.


  How do you see the future of the industry  you are in and what are your future strategies?

  India has emerged as one of the largest potential markets for organic food consumption globally, owing to the fact that organic foods or products are healthy, contain no chemicals or preservatives, and are completely natural. The country’s nascent organic food market is fast transforming into the world’s fastest growing organic food market due to following reason:

  • Growing awareness towards healthy food,
  • Surging income levels,
  • Shifts in consumer behaviour.
  • Expanding Middle class
  • Taste and freshness

In addition, increasing export market coupled with government’s support has driven the market that will further boost the demand for organic food products in the country. As the organic food market is growing all over the world, the Indian market is expected to hit the $1.36 billion mark by 2020. According to The Financial Express, the overall market value is already estimated to be $75-$76 billion.


  Conclude your success story?

  Apart from having our own farmland of 8000 acre, we have a large group of farmers associated with us engaged in growing organic food of high quality to meet the local and overseas demand for organic food. We are also registered with APEDA (Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) Government of India, as producers and supplier of Organic Food Products. We have over 10 years of rich experience in agro related products. Our infrastructure comprises of a well equipped Processing unit and a spacious Warehousing facility. To ensure that our products are high in quality and effective, the qualified team supervises the entire production, testing, and packaging processes. We are associated with top rated vendors in the industry. We procure products from vendors after getting full assurance from them in terms of quality. Our business policy is to maintain a long term relationship with our associates for a better business deals.
