Established in 2013, the company was started to import food products into India meant both for Institutional Sales and Modern Trade. The company started with trading activities of Cheese and Vegetarian food products. It was in the year 2013 when Nectar Hospitality made an eminent entry into the growing ice cream market, by taking up the Master Franchisee for Mövenpick ice creams, and successfully growing the business to over Half a million dollars yearly in less than two years time.
Under the proprietorship of Mr. TarunSikka, Nectar Hospitality will now have 7 outlets already established under his master franchise. This includes four Company owned Company operated (COCO) stores in Delhi,1 COCO store in Bangalore, and 1 Franchise owned company operated store each in Chennai and Mumbai. Along with this we will also have 5 scooping units in PVR cinemas, which are also currently operational.
Nectar hospitality has also expanded their reach through dedicated B2B Channels and enjoys15%market share in premium ice cream industry of India, with tie ups catering to high-end retail outlets, grocery stores and supermarkets. Mövenpick ice cream under Nectar Hospitality has presence in top retail outlets serving upto 34 retails clients such as Walmart, Carrefour, Spencers, Modern Bazar, Foodhall. With improved logistics, warehousing, and product availability, thereis an increase in the scale of operations and more HORECA (OOH) businesses are beingcatered to. To further strengthen their position in these categories they would also be launching 500 ml take home packs.
On the hotel and food association front, the company is also taking over the Institutional sales which include sales to 44-reputed 5 star Hotels such as Hyatt Hotels, JW Marriot and central contracts with Taj Hotels and the ITC chain.
The company is aiming to open 5 new stores within 6 months and a yearly turnover of over of 1.5 Million dollars in this fiscal year. With 3 spaces already in the pipeline, we look at establishing our selves as the leading player in the premium ice cream and desert cafe market, which is currently growing at 22%.
