Excellous aims at providing specialised career oriented vocational and professional course to the mass, the needs of whom were being long overlooked. Well, we have more than 3000 B Schools in the country, some 10000 engineering colleges and proliferating number of professional varsities; but the ever-growing gap between education and employability continues to bug the applicants and employers alike. It is a matter of grave concern that this scenario remains the same for both Technical and Non Technical courses spanning across streams like science, commerce or humanities. Stepping into this context, Excellous has set it’s eyes in negating this skill gap by providing a gamut of skill enhancing vocational courses which will enable the applicants to augment their employability by getting equipped with the necessary skill sets in their arsenal. However, there goes a saying that “Easier said than done’’ (and we buy it too). Hence to prove our point, Excellous is in a process of curriculum development in accordance with the industry trends in consultation with leading domain specialists and subject matter experts. For the initial rollout phase, we will be concentrating of courses pertaining to advanced financial accounting with software like Tally, Advanced MS Excel etc, Application oriented programs to increase proficiency in MS OUTLOOK, CommNet, Internet security and Secured Computer User etc. In addition to traditional courses in Hospitality management, we would also be offering Niche’ and segment-first courses in Fire, Health and Environment Safety Management to cater to the employability needs. Having said all, we would like to emphasize on the point that after 12th, around 20-25% of the pass outs tend to enroll for an Engineering or a Medical program, around 5% for LAW and Business management courses but what about the rest 70%? It’s high time that we should shift our focus to this mass and take the vow of making their lives at par, if not better than their counterparts but providing them a meaningful direction and arming them with the requisites for a successful life and to help them excel in their career.
